Planting A Majestic Amaryllis
I will be planting an amaryllis bulb that should
bloom into a large and majestic flower in 6 to 12 weeks, depending on your region. It can be produced from October until the end of April though it has been a family tradition for several years to grow an amaryllis in the hopes that it will bloom in the New Year. The vibrant color adds cheerfulness after the holiday season is over.
The Amaryllis is believed to be the finest indoor flower. It should be in direct sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours daily. Much like a sunflower, the bud then gravitates toward the sun.
Test the soil daily for moistness and water accordingly. Finally, the bulb is planted with the neck at or a little bit above the bottom of the pot.
