St Patricks Day Scrabble Letters Decor

Have a grand time making this oh-so-cute and quick St. Patrick’s Day decoration.

 If you haven’t considered decorating or making St. Patrick’s Day crafts
before, I encourage you to do so this year. Crafting is a pleasurable hobby, and some darling St. Patrick’s Day items are to be made. This video will show you one such project. Even if you aren’t of Irish descent, once you realize all the possible projects there are to make for the March 17 holiday, you will be swept into the creativity. Maybe the luck of the Irish will rub off on you. You can gift or keep your creation when you have finished it. This craft is an excellent year to make and decorate for St. Patrick’s Day. Easter is in April, allowing plenty of crafting and decorating time. You can put away the green decorations and then put out the Easter and spring decor. Even when Easter is in March can still decorate for both. Could still devote a small area to St. Patty’s Day.

Popsicle Stick Flag Fun and Easy to Do This clever flag is quick to create, so you will want to make several to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and add to your festive decor.

A fun way to honor St. Patrick's Day is to decorate. Add pleasure to decorating for the holiday by creating some of your green creations. This flag is an excellent place to start because it only requires a few simple supplies and is easy to put together. This is a good craft for kids, but you may want to make some too. They can be hung if you wish to add some string or yarn. It can also be placed in a vase with other green foliage or in a pencil holder. Just use your imagination.
One year made a few St. Patrick's Day cards using the same color scheme. I used a ruler to make straight lines and colored pencils to fill the flag card. Appreciate that Ireland has a simple to-recreate flag; otherwise, the craft would be more complicated.

Shamrock Ribbon Hanger for St Patricks Day

You will use this elegant St. Patrick’s Day decoration every March.
Use your imagination to create this hanger—show you one example on the video to get you started. Try using a few supplies that you have on hand. For instance, you could use a different ribbon than shown in the video—a different style or color of bow. Don’t be afraid to try new things. There isn’t always perfection in what we create, but it will be your design. That’s what makes it uniquely yours. When it is completed, you will be amazed by your creation.

There is also the option of placing the shamrocks and other decors sideways to make a garland. Then your creation can be hung from a mantle or strung on a shelf. If necessary, Command hooks may be used to make hanging easier. You can leave the hooks up if you wish to make a garland for other holidays and seasons.

These suggested ideas inspire you to participate in Random Acts of

Kindness. Select one or several of them. Most take very little time and no money. You can also come up with your ideas and use those instead. Whatever works best. Opportunities will lend themselves to a particular unplanned kindness. If so, go with it.

I plan to act on all of my suggested kindnesses, though I will spread them out over the days. The idea ties in well with my word of the year, which happens to be “kindness.” We can always use more kindness, which seems to be true now more than ever. When you are nice to someone, it is usually a win-win situation. Both of you feel good about yourself, so I encourage you to play a role in Random Act of Kindness Days.

I don’t Burn my fingers - New Glue Gun. So Happy!

I had an ancient sears craftsman glue gun for so long that I don’t even remember where I got it (Sears, by my husband, bought it 1981).

Unfortunately, it didn’t have any temperature settings, and there was no trigger for applying the glue. So I needed an extra hand to use it.
One day my husband used it to fix Lucy’s cat toy. He must have found it difficult because he gifted me a new one a few days later.
In the beginning, I still wanted to push the glue stick in, but soon I was used to the new one. It is much easier to use and a must for crafting and repairing. I can’t believe I didn’t upgrade sooner. It is one of the most favorite gifts I have ever received.

2023 Word to Live by - Kindness


We could all use more kindness in our lives, so that is my 2023 word to follow. Rather than making a New Year’s Resolution that is abandoned by February, I select a word to follow throughout the year. This is the third year I have chosen to pick a Word to Live by. My word for 2023 is “kindness.” I think everyone
could use more kindness in their lives at this time. Usually, if you are kind to someone, they will return the favor. It is a winning situation for everyone. I feel optimistic that I will be able to follow through using this word often throughout 2023. I have found it helpful to post the word on the refrigerator as a reminder. In 2020, my chosen word was grateful. I was successful at being grateful for so many things during that year. My 2022 word didn’t work quite as well. I didn’t feel as joyful often As I should have, but now as we enter a new year, there is a new word to guide me. A new year means a fresh start.

Helping Kids with crafts at The Peoria AZ Westwing HOA Winter Festival C...

The Westwing HOA Winter Festival Celebration


Was a joyous occasion to help over 100 children make a tree ornament.

They recently headed to a nearby park to help at our Home Owners Association’s annual Winter Festival. Families of the neighborhood came to enjoy the activities. I happily volunteered at the kid’s craft table. Over 100 boys and girls crafted a keepsake tree ornament to take home. It was fascinating to see their different designs. Some adults made ornaments too, but the children’s enthusiasm quickly puts one in a holiday spirit. Though we couldn’t find a vendor to truck snow to the desert this year, there was still plenty to do. Bounce castles, face painting, and a rock climbing wall were enjoyed by many. The “free” hamburgers were delicious. Santa and Mrs. Claus were a welcome sight, and the Grinch proved popular. The weather was perfect. Everyone seemed to have had a fun time.

Amazing Amaryllis Is Blooming Fast Looks Real Good

The amaryllis bulb has burst with amazingly lush and large vibrant red blooms. Looks so festive

and cheerful for the holidays! The flowers can be enjoyed for a few weeks before they whither. At that point, cut them back to within 1 to 2 inches of the bulb. Put the bulb in a 50 to 55-degree temperature for at least 8 to 10 weeks. The dormant phase will help it bloom again. Then replant it and place it in a sunny location with temperatures of 70 to 75 degrees. Start watering again, and there should be new blooms to enjoy after several weeks. The flower should bloom every winter for about 25 years!

Joan Gets a RIng For Christmas - And She is Not Happy.. To to Dump Someone!

My husband has purchased my Christmas present and usually hides them in the same place. I don’t usually do this because I enjoy surprises, but I am anxious to know what he got me. I want to know ahead of time because I asked for a ring. But the suspense is getting to me. He usually puts my presents in his office. He keeps the door locked when he is not working, but I know where he hides the key.
We will see if “Santa” has gotten me what I desired. So come on in with me and see what I’m getting. What would you like for Christmas?

you an inexpensive, small gift that can be fancied up. You may use the decorations I show or whatever you have on hand. Use your imagination. Friends, neighbors, and even your kids’ teachers do not have to be crossed off your list. You can pass the holiday cheer, and the recipients will appreciate your thoughtfulness. While a list notepad from Dollar Tree is not new, I like the added feature of the small monthly tear-off calendar. Do you ever wonder what day of the week an event is falling on as I do? The calendar provides a quick reference. With the magnet on the back, the pad is easily displayed on the refrigerator.

Christmas Amaryllis a Fun and Easy Craft and Kit This will make your spouse really love you!


Even for the green thumb challenged, this amaryllis kit will produce colorful and large blooms within a few weeks. You will enjoy their beauty for several weeks.

Planting A Majestic Amaryllis

I will be planting an amaryllis bulb that should bloom into a large and majestic flower in 6 to 12 weeks, depending on your region. It can be produced from October until the end of April though it has been a family tradition for several years to grow an amaryllis in the hopes that it will bloom in the New Year. The vibrant color adds cheerfulness after the holiday season is over.
The Amaryllis is believed to be the finest indoor flower. It should be in direct sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours daily. Much like a sunflower, the bud then gravitates toward the sun.
Test the soil daily for moistness and water accordingly. Finally, the bulb is planted with the neck at or a little bit above the bottom of the pot.
We will be following the growth of the Amaryllis in future videos. I am looking forward to seeing the festive flower bloom.
